One of the biggest positives for a film that targets Youth or Family Audiences is being the relative subject that mirrors their real life. Love Today catches and executes this idea effectively.
Directed by Pradeep Ranganathan (Comali Fame) who also acted in the lead role as Uttaman Pradeep, a lovely simple neighbourhood guy ( a phone addict, according to his mother played by exceptional Radhika Sharath Kumar Garu) who was forced to swap his mobile phone with his girlfriend Nikita(Ivana) on the direction of her dad, our very own Kattappa (Satyraj). Little do they know that this swap idea causes a great catastrophe in their relationship. What happens next in their lives is the whole story of the film.
First of all what worked in favor of this film, is its genre, similar to his previous film Comali, Pradeep Ranganathan picked up a unique story and dealt it with a fresh and novel approach. The whole track of Mobile Swap, Bujji Kanna and Pradeep's Sister (Raveena Ravi) mobile swap attempts with her fiance Yogi Babu rocked the auditorium with laughs and a thundering response. Even the serious tone in last 15 mins too worked really well and on-par with the fun quotient. Kudos to Yuvan Sir who really provided a fresh and catchy vibe with is soundtrack.
