Jensen Ackles joins The Boys Season 3 as ' Soldier Boy '
From Dean Winchester to Soldier Boy: Jensen Ackles has entered the Season 3 cast of Amazon Prime’s Superhero series The Boys. He is set to rejoin with Supernatural's original creator Eric Kripke.
Jensen Ackles will portray the character Soldier Boy, who after World War II, became the first “super celebrity” and backbone of American culture for decades.
Jensen currently stars on “Supernatural,” which was originally created by Eric Kripke in 2005. It was scheduled to wrap up its penultimate 15th season in May of this year before the coronavirus pandemic forced a production shutdown. It was expected to end this fall in CW.
The Boys” was renewed for a third season ahead of its second, which launches on Sept. 4 on Amazon. The show is based on the best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson and was developed by Eric Kripke, who also serves as showrunner. Point Grey Pictures’ Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver also executive produce, along with Original Film’s Neal H. Moritz, and Pavun Shetty.
